The "CrushPro II Recycler" and the "Foam Crusher & Compactor"

The  CrushPro I & CrushPro II Recycler

EPS foam does not rot or decompose; it is this durability that favors its use for building & architectural components, custom fit insulation panels, signage & props, and concrete casting forms.
Recycle your EPS foam
In keeping with our philosophy of continued product improvements and advancements and in response to our customer requests, we have designed the Axis CrushPro II (ACP II). The ACP II is a foam recycling system that cuts the scrap polystyrene foam into a re-useable commodity of EPS cubes. The Axis CrushPro II assists in the reduction of, and disposal of, foam waste.

In some areas, EPS foam suppliers have programs in which they will remove your scrap foam and re-grind it to produce lower cost "re-grind" blocks of foam. These blocks are produced at a lower cost, however due to the use of re-grind materials are unsuitable for precision hot wire cutting. The perfect solution to get rid of your waste!Commonly, you do not have to pay to have this scrap removed; however, you receive no compensation for it either.

The ACP II solves your waste problem and produces a pure cash flow stream by converting your waste foam into packaging and filler. The ACP II has a throat (cutting area) measuring approximately 24" x 24" and a series of heated cutting wires spaced evenly in a grid pattern. The cutting wires are adjustable within their grid pattern to allow for the production of larger or smaller cubes. Regulation of the cut-off wire grid, allows the operator to control the length of the cubes. The scrap foam is placed into the supply hopper and gravity pulls the scrap foam past the hot cutting wire grid. However, unlike competitive machines that only produce long "strings" of foam; the ACP II chops the foam into "cubes". Once cut, these cubes fall into large polyethylene bags and are ready for use.

These bagged EPS cubes are ideal for use as packaging, loose fill or many other applications. The EPS cubes are purchased by individuals, companies for their own use as packaging fill and companies that offer packaging and shipping services, etc.

Sell your scrap! If the production of foam cubes exceeds the immediate demand for resale, the cubes are easily disposed of in regular landfills. Once the EPS foam is cubed, it breaks apart quicker than in large blocks. This mixture of small foam cubes is beneficial for landfills; and acts in the same principle of “Vermiculite” used in houseplants as the foam is non-compressible, does not absorb water and will allow the free movement of air & water throughout the landfill site. By allowing water and air to move throughout the landfill, it aids in providing a means of accelerating the decomposition of biodegradable materials within the landfill.

An option for the Axis CrushPro II is the addition of a fume extractor. While the fumes produced from the cutting of the EPS foam are neither toxic nor carcinogenic, the odor can become uncomfortable for an operator exposed to high levels of fumes in confined areas. The Fume Extractor is vented to the outdoors and can be synchronized to work simultaneously with the ACP II.
