The numbers below show the cutting capacities (in feet) of the Axis computerized hot wire foam cutters Craftsman, Pro Series, Contractor and Industrial models. Each model number indicates the height and length of material and the depth (thickness) of material (the cutting wire length) you can cut.

You can stack several sheets of foam back to back (up to the maximum thickness capacity of your machine). For example, on an Craftsman 282, you could stack 24 sheets of 2' x 8' x 1 inch foam. Each time you cut a single object you will be cutting 24 identical copies simultaneously! This will greatly increase your output, and profits, when cutting multiple copies of the same object.

By combining the ability to cut several sheets of foam simultaneously along with the "Step and Repeat" capability of our software, large runs will be eXtreme ly profitable.

Double capacity
All of our foam cutters (not including the Standard series) include a second cutting wire as standard feature. The Dual-Cut wire assembly is adjustable to within 4” of the first wire and can be increased incrementally every 5/128” (0.3mm) to provide very fine placement and adjustment of the wire. The Dual-Cut wire can provide many time saving functions such as trimming the top and bottom of the block simultaneously, slabbing of a foam billet into sheet stock and doubling production of molds and trim moldings are only a few examples. 

Our hot wire foam cutters will cut EPS foam, Extruded foam, Expanded or Beadboard, Polystyrene foam and many other types of open cell foam.
