The fully computerized Axis Pro Contractor Series foam cutter was designed to answer the call of
the EIFS, architectural and
building
industries. The Pro Contractor & Contractor II are a direct descendant
of the Pro Series machines. It is completely constructed of top quality anodized
aluminum framing.
The Pro Contractor I has an effective cutting area of 30” high x 48” wide with a
cutting wire of 96” and 47.5" high x 96" wide x 96"

II. As the majority of 1 and 2 pound EPS billets are trimmed to
30” x 48” x 96”, we felt this was the ideal size for our Contractor
I model.
The Pro Contractor allows you to produce long profiles, columns, cornice molding and other
long objects.
The Pro Contractor still meets the same quality and accuracy of cut as the entire Axis
range of equipment. This
accuracy means that the Contractor is not limited to only cutting
long profiles, as it as effectively can cut a design in a 1” thick sheet of foam as
in a 96” long block.
The Pro Contractor shares many of the traits of the Pro Series machines such as the
micro-turbines to cool the cutting wire that is outside of the foam, limit switches to
stop the wire movement when it reaches an extremity and our electronic Controller which
electronically controls the wire voltage and drives the heavy-duty motors on the Pro
Contractor. As on the Pro series the wire trolleys are driven on a mobile frame. This
frame is mounted on ball bearing wheels that travel on the precision aluminum
frame track.
This type of wire movement is highly preferred when cutting heavy foam blocks.
One big difference however, is the use of our custom formulated 0.007” (0.28mm)
diameter Cobalt based alloy hot cutting wire. This wire has incredible tensile strength
and provides excellent mechanical resistance. This wire, when held tight with our
tensioning system, allows you to achieve excellent quality cuts every time.
Machine Software:
As with the entire line of Axis foam cutters, the Pro Contractor is driven by our
Windows™ based Foam Cutter Company software. The Foam Cutter Company software easily imports 2 dimensional drawings
from most designs programs and easily converts these into the drive language the Pro
Contractor understands.
The contractor can be programmed to work after hours when you go home.
The work will be done when you return in the morning!
Foam Art V1 Foam Cutting Software
Included with the Contractor foam cutter is the Foam
Art V.1 CD. The CD is a collection of artwork and images designed
specifically for foam cutting operations with the Axis computerized
foam cutting system. Each file is designed with all required connector
lines already placed and ready to use.
Foam Art from Mad Dog Graphix - Clipart Cutting Software
The Mad Dog software is a collection of
750 hand drawn images suitable for foam cutting with the Axis
computerized foam cutting system. Every design can be scaled larger or
smaller in your design software that supports vector based images
(Such as CorelDraw). This product is included with all computerized
systems!

Options for your Contractor Series foam cutter:
The ProTurn turntable is permanently attached in
the middle of the machine and does not interfere with either the standard cutting of
blocks or the total cutting capacity of the machine.
